SQUID to speed up your connection

With the windows proxy server, we will get some benefit. That saving bandwidth and increase the speed of the internet. Which when we use mobile broadband access that usually do not get a signal fullbar, will be able to increase internet speed by 3x as much, certainly with the help windows proxy server. Namely SQUID 

INSTALLATION AND SETTING SQUID

Download Squid here

Squid.conf

-> Extarct “Squid.rar” to “c:\squid”

-> Copy and paste the “squid.conf” to “c:\squid\etc\”

-> Open CMD (Start-CMD)

-> Type  like this pict

-> Type “squid -i” and enter to install SQUID

-> Type “squid -z” and enter to Creating Swap Directories

-> Config the Squid Service to Start up Automatically :
go to control panel –  Administrative Tools – Services

-> Right click – properties, and set like this

-> click ok and setting your browser to use this proxy 127.0.0.1:3128

-> you also can use this proxy for IDM..
